(1) Tested Very Rare 1925/1926 Ureco GoldenTone 112 Tube (Type 12A equivalent) with original Box.
Produced by Ureco (United Radio and Electric Corporation) of New Jersey.
A gorgeous and not very often seen globe tube with a yellow/gold envelope, brass pins and an engraved base.
This tube tests on the low end of the scale but is still above the minimum pass/good threshold - see test results below.
The 112 tube is a precursor to the 112A tube, with a couple of subtle but notable differences. The 112 (without the 'A' suffix) has a 5V, 0.5A filament whereas a 112A (with the 'A' suffix) has a 5V, .25A filament. The 112A has also been known to have an oxide coated filament as opposed to a tungsten filament used in many 112 tubes.
The box, while original, must be handled delicately.
The top flap is missing entirely and has edge wear with some separating and surface tears. A bit rough, but it is original to the tube and also very rarely seen. The bottom flap is bowed and because of this, the box leans depending on which facing side it is displayed (see very last photo compared to the first photo).
Lots of photos to see.
Tested on a calibrated Hickok TV-10 military tube tester with no shorts and no leaks with the following results:
Gm Test = 1125 micromhos
Minimum pass/good = 1040
