(1) Tested Very Strong Q.R.S. Redtop 01A Tube (UV 01A).
Red bakelite base with short (UV) brass pins.
This tube tests well above NOS ratings.
In the mid to late 1920s Q.R.S., famously known for their piano rolls, produced "Redtop" detector/amplifier tubes with "double filaments, double plates and double grids..." while boasting "Redtop Radio Tubes are Better".
The original label is still intact with some minor color loss and the "redtop" has a good portion of color left.
The red bakelite base has some small nibbling around the top rim from production.
There are some areas of faint liquid-like staining on the glass that cannot be cleaned off - see photos.
Tested on a calibrated Hickok TV-10 military tube tester with no shorts and no leaks with the following results:
